Assassin's Creed Introduces Unexpected AoT Event for Holiday Season
In a bizarre partnership that challenges traditional predictions, Ubisoft has revealed an in-game crossover between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the acclaimed anime series Attack on Titan. The surprising holiday event continues from November 25 through December 22, offering free extra story content for Shadows players.
Mysterious Adventure Revealed
According to the official release, "An unusual meeting leads characters Naoe and Yasuke into a new quest, where hints of forbidden ceremonies and terrifying metamorphoses reverberate through the darkness." The storyline introduces a "unusually garbed woman named Ada" who tasks the pair with journeying into the Crystal Cave—a significant location from Attack on Titan—to rescue her companion from a hidden cult.
The questline focuses on "bizarre trials and a monstrous foe" and is available to all players who have acquired the Yasuke character.
Familiar Places and Metamorphoses
The teaser showcases the Underground Chapel from Attack on Titan reimagined as the Crystal Cave. This significant location was earlier where the Reiss royal family passed down the Founding Titan ability through generations. The preview finishes with a dramatic sequence showing a character, likely the captive, morphing into a Titan that towers over Naoe and Yasuke.
Exclusive Rewards and Extra Features
Players who accomplish the mission will obtain an unique katana together with numerous items hidden throughout the area in secret chests. The update also features premium Attack on Titan item packs, including:
- Titan-inspired costume for Yasuke
- Mikasa costume for Naoe
- Exclusive arms
- Survey Corps vehicle
Latest Free Story Content
This update also adds the game's latest complimentary story content, titled "A Puzzlement."
